The
objective is to test innovative approaches for sustained provision of
sanitation services in the low income areas. The program is promoting the use
of appropriate technologies, sound social intervention methodologies and access
to micro-credit mechanisms for construction costs.

The successes so far recorded are traceable to the following measures;
a) Use of
media Campaigns as a major social engineering
instrument to engender change in the areas we work, encouraging participation
and setting a platform for the regulation of peoples’ behavior within the
cultural milieu.
b)
Using schools’ Outreach
Program to increase awareness about water issues and sanitation systems by
engaging students on water and sanitation issues.
c) The use
of vacuum trucks, that sucks up sludge and deposits it for treatment.
d) The
project significantly enhances the treatment of sludge through co-composting,
an end product that yields cheaper source of organic soil conditioner for local
farmers.
